Today, you were to hand in your letters of introduction. I then gave you a quiz on the course outline to see if you were paying attention. From here, I introduced the short story/essay unit. I handed out a booklet entitled "The History of the Short Story" which we read through actively as a class (paraphrase/highlight/define).
